Per Diem is not the only advantage of business travel. Being able to experience a town in one swooping motion is as fun as it is a blur. For visitors who don't want to stray far from the airport hotel district, there are numerous hotels and restaurants like Ted's Montana Grill or Macaroni Grill in Aurora, which is a fifteen-minute drive from DIA.
It's when you make your way to the city that options open up. Denver is home to numerous bed & breakfasts, golf courses, day spas and tons of eateries and drinkeries.
Rent a car, check out a travel guide or map, and head east on I-70 a half hour to downtown Denver, where you can stay at Hotel Teatro or any of the other countless hotels in the area.
While downtown, check out a Rockies, Broncos or Nuggets game. Tickets can be easily purchased online. Both arenas are conveniently within walking distance to LoDo and sports bars that adorn the northern reaches of downtown Denver and the 16th Street Mall, where anyone with wireless capabilities can log on as easily as they can people watch.
The Mall is traversed by a bus, which rolls up and down the strip and is free. The light rail is also accessible from the 16th Street Mall, but if you want absolutely no responsibility call any of the area's three cab companies: Metro Taxi (303-333-3333), Freedom Cab (303-444-4444) or Yellow Taxi (303-777-7777).
