The Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens was named after a Scottish immigrant, John Mouat, who amassed a fortune in lumber back in 1890 and built this mansion for his family in Denver's Highland neighborhood. The mansion features cherry, oak, poplar, sycamore, maple and walnut—all adorned with distinct carvings and ornate detail. The Lumber Baron even provides a resident chef, a graduate of Western Culinary Institute, who provides guests with savory cuisine for a meal to remember!

The Honeymoon Suite
The Honeymoon Suite offers colossal cherry pocket doors, a spacious, round Jacuzzi tub in the tower, a large HDTV for an in-room theater experience and a seven-piece carved mahogany bedroom set with designs to match the 1906 Neoclassical pastel ceiling patterns. The Mary Ann Keller Suite
This suite features the garden style Anglo-Japanese room set with Bradbury and Bradbury wallpaper on the ceiling. Large garden-style French doors open onto the bath area, which features a pear shaped Jacuzzi tub, pedestal sink, and large shower. An ornately carved mahogany bed from the 1860's finishes this suite. The feeling is elegant Victorian with an Asian flair.

The Anniversary Suite
The Anniversary Suite is the perfect suite for an anniversary get-away. The light-blue Greco-Roman motif is classically romantic. This suite features twin marbled pillars which lead to a Roman bath area and a Victorian 1865 queen-sized Butternut wood bed. The Anniversary Suite is will add new inspiration to any couples' relationship.

The Valentine Suite
This suite offers Far-Eastern Persian-style flair with the most complex and detailed Bradbury ceiling pattern of the entire Inn. Single guests and couples will enjoy the king-sized Indonesian wedding bed imported from Java. The Valentine Suite is rich, exotic and inviting!

The Colonel Franklin Room
This is The Lumber Baron's most affordable standard-sized room, boasting an outdoorsy Bradbury Woodland wallpaper set. A richly- grained, pillared oak mantle with "old west" tiles, and the butternut wood 1870's Renaissance revival queen-sized bed are the highlights of this room designed to capture the spirit of the West!

For 10 to 100, the Lumber Baron Inn & Gardens can make every corporate meeting/event in Denver unique. The Lumber Baron will helpfully plan each event and coordinate special needs. For one day or an entire week, however long a group stays, The Lumber Baron will take care of everything, so guests can work—and play!

The Lumber Baron's first floor offers three formal parlor rooms with a capacity of 25. A third floor ballroom can accommodate up to 100—and the outdoor garden suits 150. Five elegant suites provide overnight accommodations at corporate rates. A commercial kitchen is available to serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, meeting breaks and cocktails. And the Lumber Baron is wired for A/V and Internet access.
