Having provided murder mystery dinners at private locations & local businesses since the mid 1990's, Adams Mystery Playhouse officially opened the doors of the new Denver playhouse on Halloween of 2006. It's an exciting and suspense-filled theater experience for Denver theater buffs, and only a couple of miles from Downtown Denver.

Theater Occupancy & Dinner Details

The Mystery Theatre seats 150 for dinner, while the adjoining Parlor and Séance Room comfortably hold 30 guests.

The food is deliciously prepared and catered by Bella Basil, one of Denver's finest catering services. The Adams Mystery Playhouse dinner menu includes the following:

Location & History behind the Adams Mystery Playhouse

Located in Historic Highlands, just west of I-25 near Speer Blvd., 2406 Federal Boulevard was the location of Day Mortuary from 1934-63. The mortuary eventually closed its doors as a funeral home in 2005 and Adams Mystery Playhouse has chosen this unique historic Denver Victorian to host their murder mystery dinner theater productions. Talk about the perfect location!

Kids' Birthday Parties

With a minimum of 20 guests, kids can have their own mystery pizza lunch, with our famous "Mystery Of The Stolen Gem". This event is 2 hours long and is perfect for kids 5 to 12 years old who consider themselves expert sleuths. Fun to watch, easy to solve and everybody wins! Just $18 each gets you a turkey and provolone hoagie with chips and a drink, a fun mystery, and a tour of our historical mansion. And, the birthday kid gets a special part in the mystery. Get AMPED at Adams Mystery Playhouse. *Birthday cakes, pinatas and prizes are an additional charge.

Corporate & Special Events

The murder mystery theater events at Adams Mystery Playhouse are perfect for team-building events, school field trips, birthday parties and most any other special event for 10-200 people). The cast will incorporate specific details (names, jobs, slogans, etc.) right into the script! Because there is little need for a set, and with minimal props, the cast of actors can provide private shows either at the playhouse or at most any location. Please note that private shows have additional costs above $39 per person.

Local companies, high schools and other organizations (even a group of friends) can book the entire playhouse for a private murder mystery dinner.
