Guide to Franktown

A small town that serves as a stop for outdoor enthusiasts on their way to the area's Castlewood Canyon State Park, cyclists and motorcyclists out for a leisurely ride, Franktown doesn't seem like the kind of town with a lot to say at first glance. But don't let this little mountain town fool you; Franktown features a rich history (preserved in an old one-room schoolhouse just outside of town), the ruins of 1800s Grange halls, quaint cafes, an assortment of gift boutiques, and several lively restaurants.
