There is no shortage of dance floor square footage in Denver. For ground zero of Denver dance clubs, downtown’s LoDo district is the hot spot for what is hip and chic. Lotus in LoDo boasts one of the best Ladies Nights in town—no cover and free drinks ‘til 11pm, just right about when the party gets started. Club Vinyl’s many bars and dance floors make this Denver dance club feel like many dance clubs in one and keeps the night interesting with different music for different moods (or mood enhancers). For dance to a different beat than techno, bass and hip hop, Denver’s Rumba dance club gets caliente with live salsa preceded by free salsa lessons on Rumba’s large dance floor.

2101 & The Wave Nightclub
2101 Champa St., Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.299.9283
Theme nights and booze soaked boogien' are the staple at 2101 nightclub and lounge in Denver that has something for every clubber no matter where your musical dart lands on the spectrum. The crowds at 2101 and The Wave Nightclub range from the young college bingers to yups cutting loose every weekend to a rotating slate of top Denver DJs. Also, if you need a little chill space, 2101 sports a decent patio and down beat lounge area where you can gather your energies for another run under the lights on the dance floor. |
Bash
1902 Blake St., Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.298.7994
Easily the largest dance club in Denver, Bash pulled itself up from its scrubby roots to become a premier bar to get your DJ and booze fueled party on. Bash sports about 6,000 square feet of dancing and drinking space, but you'd never know it because this Denver club gets wall to wall with drinkers, clubbers, trendsters, scenesters and loungers downing the booze and energy drink cosmopolitan concoction du jour and either chilling in Bash's lounge or grooving on the dance floor to its resident spinners. Even with the throbbing masses at Bash, their bartenders are top notch making getting a drink easier than mustering up the courage to spit game to that hottie you've been eye-balling all night. |
The Church
1160 Lincoln St., Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.832.3528
Housed in an—yep, you guessed it—old Gothic church, Denver's dance club mainstay, The Church, could have easily turned down the road of catering to the black clad, perpetually moody set, but instead chose the more mainstream path of retro-infused, swank Denver dance club and lounge. Instead of dishing out cocktails with names like Lestat's blood, The Church's bartenders sling martinis, beers and shots dropped into energy drinks for the hipster masses that continually crowd this Denver nightclub. Also, The Church let's the kiddies in on the fun sporting some of Denver's only 18 and up dance club nights and when the nationally and internationally touted local DJs are dropping mad beats and you need a breather, check out the roof top deck for a stellar view of Denver. |
Club Purple
1523 Market St., Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.607.9209
Denver's Club Purple sports four floors of hip lounging and hot dancing with interceding floors constructed to be a voyeur's dream. Seriously, the floors under Club Purple's dance floors are completely glass—yep, glass ladies—which is kind of an anachronistic ruse, but it seems to work. Just remember fellas that a hottie really wouldn't want to hear "I saw you on the dance floor" unless you where actually within some physical proximity when you "saw" her... besides, she'll have plenty of time to label you as a pervert later. The subterranean lounge area at this Denver nightclub is super chill with separate DJs manning the decks for a lounge vibe over a frenetic dancing one and the top most floor houses the VIP area complete with beds and bottle service, but if you don't get to Denver's Club Purple early be prepared to wait in line...for everything. |
Club Sky
1520 20th St., Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.298.7625
Located right above a family friendly Denver restaurant, Club Sky gets packed with biz pros, clubbers and...sports fans? Well, the proximity to Coors Field probably explains the latter, but when there's no game expect to dance, drink and stagger out from this Denver dance club. Club Sky also sports TVs in every possible location and the resident DJs keep the party moving while the bartenders keep the drinks flowing. |
Club Vinyl
1082 Broadway, Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.860.8469
Club Vinyl is a major player on the Denver nightclub scene sporting numerous bars, a large dance floor and probably the coolest rooftop chillin' lounge we've seen. Some of Denver's slickest DJs man the decks at Club Vinyl and the dance club crowds pack the place on the weekends. Getting drinks is relatively easy at this hip Denver club and, if you're not dressed to impress, you can kick it outside with the doorman while your crew gets it on inside. |
La Rumba
99 W. 9th Ave., Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.572.8006
A sizzling salsa dance club in Denver, La Rumba lets you get your Latin groove thing on nightly either to hot DJs spinning the tunes or an in house band blazing away for the sexy clientele. Also, La Rumba offers those a little unsure of themselves free salsa lessons early before the spacious dance floor gets packed with Denver salsa pros—okay, maybe they just seem like pros—and everything gets kicked up a notch on the ol' hotness meter. The drinks are a bit pricey at La Rumba; so if you're like us and need liquid encouragement, booze up somewhere else, but if you like all your Denver nightlife in one club, the sexy eye candy at La Rumba will instantly make you forget how much you just dropped on your tab. |
Tracks
3500 Walnut, Denver, Colorado; Tel. 303.863.7326
Tracks has been taking care of the diverse Denver dance club set for years and their new expansive location means that a whole new crew of young partiers can cut their teeth and earn their drinking chops at this venerable Denver club. The large dance floor at Tracks is commanded by some of Denver's hottest DJs spinning genre-smashing tunes for the young club revelers and the heavy drinks flowing out of the bar ensure that even the most arrhythmic imbiber will at one point shake it on the dance floor under the disco balls and neon lights. |
