Descend a steep canyon on the train through 4.5 miles (7.2 km) of dramatic mountainous terrain to Georgetown, another silver mining town of yesteryear, and loop back up to Silver Plume.
Afterward, reboard your coach to explore Georgetown further, admiring Victorian homes and buildings along the way. Capture plenty of stunning photos of the Rocky Mountains during your return journey to Denver. Your 9-hour day trip ends back at Denver's Cherry Creek Shopping Center.
