About Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships

Bringing the public and nonprofit sectors together.

The Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships (DOSP) was created in January 2004 to serve as a liaison between the City of Denver and the nonprofit sector. DOSP believes that by working collectively, the public and nonprofit sectors can be even more efficient and effective in strengthening Denver's communities.
DOSP accomplishes our objectives through:

Training and Workshop Program: build skills, knowledge, and individual capacity in staff and organizations to form nonprofit-government partnerships.
• Spotlight on Local Government - Highlights City Agencies
• Nonprofit Training: Effectively Working with Local Government
• City Training: Effectively Working with Nonprofits
• Government Funding

Partnership and Connection: facilitate relationships and provide opportunities for access and connection for individuals and organizations to form nonprofit-government partnerships.
• Coordination of active collaborative efforts
• Green and Healthy Homes Initiative
• Monthly E-newsletter, use of social media and website
• Monthly Connection Sessions.

Government Funding: DOSP also engages in training around government funding and is working to support an enhanced environment of efficiency and effectiveness in the way that the City of Denver engages with nonprofit around regular funding opportunities at the local government level.
• Distribute $2 million annually to local nonprofits
• Government Funding Workshops
• Funding and Contracting Efficiency Initiative (FACE)

Nonprofit Facilities: works with partners to help create, build, and support two critical programs relating to nonprofit facilities
• Nonprofit Energy Efficiency Program
• Denver Shared Space Project
