About Denver Performing Arts Complex

The Denver Performing Arts Complex (DPAC) encompasses 12 acres and houses 10 performance spaces.

It has been touted as one of the largest performing arts complexes under one roof. The Ellie Caulkins Opera House, Boettcher Concert Hall and the Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre all call the complex home, as well as a Tony Award-winning repertory theater and Broadway touring productions.

While plays, ballets and symphonies are all spectacular to watch in the historic venues, merely strolling around the complex makes for a great outing and a little exercise. Gardens dot the grounds in localized patches, as well as artwork created by local artists.

A spectacular 80-foot-tall glass ceiling connects the grounds, and with artistic lighting it's worth a stroll during the nighttime hours to witness the surreal glow.

Two ghostly sculptures dozens of feet high adorn the back lawn of the theater, and their elongated white forms often conjure of visions of dancing aliens.
