Is this your business? Enhance it for greater exposure.
Make sure your information is up-to-date.
I Made it is your "MAKERSPACE": A place to think for yourself, think creatively, & look for do-it-yourself solutions before running to the store. We provide tools, materials and guidance for every project!
I Made It Workshops (869 Santa Fe Dr., Denver) was born out of the European Makerspace tradition. Founded by Francis and Loretta Eggelton in 2014 to inspire and teach the easy and satisfying craft of wood working. We want to show people just how easy it is to use power and hand tools to create lasting pieces that are both beautiful and useful.
WHAT YOU GET
You come in and learn the basics of using tools like table saws, miter saws, drill presses, routers, planers and more. You leave with a new skill and your head exploding with new ideas of what you can actually do for yourself. There are plenty of options. You can bring in a group of friends or coworkers and put together one of our partially started projects like a repurposed pallet wine rack, beer caddy, bird feeder, cutting board and more. With our detailed instructions and guidance, you will use some of the tools and complete and assemble your project in a couple of hours.
Alternatively, you may have seen something on Pinterest, Etsy or on the web or at a store that you love, but maybe can't afford, or think "if it only had this design option..." - show us a picture, plan or drawing and we can help you with the design and construction to make it exactly what you want at a fraction of the cost.
YOU MIGHT HAVE TO DO SOME MATH
Here, the shop is your garage and classroom. You'll see photos of the beetle kill pine being milled in Colorado. We currently mill in the Black Forest Area in Colorado Springs. You will complete one of our projects or if you want the start-to-finish experience, using your own design or one of ours, you choose your timber and plane the wood. Using the design measurements, we help you figure the best use of the wood to make your cuts. There will be decisions on size, degree of angles to be cut and the best way to join the wood for a secure bond. There will be hammering, sanding, gluing and detailing to finish your project. And, by the way, you can have a glass of wine or craft brew to grease the creative wheels.
YOU NAILED IT
Walk away feeling empowered. You've just done something constructive. And wonderful. And had a blast doing it. You've just become part of the Makerspace Revolution.
