Aspen Snowmass is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year and they’re making it a celebration worth remembering!

Colorado Aspen Snowmass Fall

December 15

Discounted Tickets

To mark their actual birthday, one-day lift ticket prices will be dropped to the same price they were back in 1967. This means that, while a one-day lift ticket for Aspen Snowmass is typically $155 (according to their website), tickets on December 15 will cost only $6.50.

Yes – you read that right.

Tickets are still available for the time being and can be purchased here while they last!

Retro Party at Elk Camp

Get your vintage ski gear ready, because it’s time for it to see the light of day! Dinner, live music, and festive vintage flare all come together to create one amazing retro event.

Details are still being updated, but this is sure to be an event that’s not to be missed. Tickets can be purchased here.

Fireworks over Fanny Hill

Around 9:00 p.m., the night sky will be lit up as an incredible fireworks display celebrates 50 years of Aspen Snowmass!

December 16

Banana Days

Popular back in the 1980s, Aspen Snowmass is bringing back their Banana Days Scavenger Hunt! Clues and prizes will be hidden all over the Village in 1,967 bananas. Look for details closer to December 16, because who wouldn’t love getting a little free Aspen Snowmass swag?

Golden Gala + film premiere

While the Gala is already sold out, be on the lookout for the film in the near future.  Snowmass: 50 Years of Mountain Spirit celebrates Snowmass’s 50th Anniversary by telling the stories of the pioneers and original residents of the Village who helped develop Snowmass into what it is today.

December 17

Cabin jump + rail jam

Perfect for skiers and boarders of all ages, locals from the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club will show off their park skills. And just like back in the ’70s, a cabin will be temporarily re-built to be used as a launch pad for infamous cabin jumps.

Anniversary picnic

Following the cabin jump and rail jam, everyone is invited to a community picnic at the Spider Sabich Race Area.  Details are still upcoming, but this picnic is certain to be the perfect way to close out a festive weekend.

All Weekend

Restaurants and retail stores throughout the Village are offering special deals to celebrate this special event.  Check here for all of the updated details.
