When: February 20, 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Where: History Colorado, 1200 Broadway, Denver, Colorado 80203

What: “With the release of his critically acclaimed album, “Dust,” a recent collaboration with the Colorado Symphony, and five celebrated collaborations with the Denver contemporary ballet company Wonderbound, Jesse Manley has made a name for himself as a singer, songwriter, and musical partner to the arts. His sound has been described by audiences as “beautiful, jauntily melancholic, and unique” and by Denver Westword as “a band that is rooted in the simplicity of folk music but performs as a chamber orchestra with complex arrangements.” Manley and his six-piece band (featuring members on violin, cello, upright bass, percussion, clarinet, and flute) draw inspiration from the eclectic folk music of the Dust Bowl era, creating haunting melodies that echo an America past. This is a rare local performance from one of Colorado’s most accomplished performers and bands — don’t miss them in the intimate setting of our library!”
