Torres Mexican Food has been a tradition in Colorado serving authentic mexican food.
As the Auraria neighborhood homes three different higher education institutions in northwest Denver, there’s not much as far as residential living space.
Not to be confused with Aurora, one of Denver’s many neighbor cities, Auraria is located in the northwest part of downtown and home to three of Denver’s higher education institutions.
Since the University of Colorado – Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and Community College of Denver take up a majority of the Auraria neighborhood, there isn’t much as far as permanent living space. There are student living areas such as Auraria Student Lofts, Regency Student Housing and Campus Village at Auraria that are in the neighborhood, but the three schools are made up mostly of commuter students from other neighborhoods and surrounding cities.
This area of Denver is bound by the South Platte River to the west, Cherry Creek to the east, and Colfax Avenue to its south in a 2 mile radius downtown. Auraria also houses a restaurant called Degree Metropolitan Food & Drink. The historic Tivoli Brewing Company has also returned to its original location in the Tivoli Building of Auraria Campus. The neighborhood is easily accessible by walking, bike riding, bus, light rail or car.
