This Weekend’s Events in Denver

Now that 2018 is in full swing, be prepared for some pretty exciting events every weekend. This weekend is no exception. Bourbon & Bacon Fest

What: “Local chefs and restaurants will be featuring their best bacon dishes, all accompanied by an array of specialty bourbons & unique whiskey such as 1792 & Fireball.” Restaurants include Milk & Cake, The Capital Grille, Steuben’s, and Hearth & Dram. What: This monthly reading series from Art of Storytelling is meant to celebrate the diversity in Denver’s writing community and connecting the various people who love literature of all kinds. “Robert Kloss is the author of The Alligators of Abraham, The Revelator, and The Woman Who Lived Amongst the Cannibals.”

Grand Opening of Bang Up To The Elephant

What: “Named after a Victorian-era slang term implying “complete, perfect and properly-done,” Bang Up To The Elephant! will offer an ambiance unlike any other restaurant or venue in Denver. Guests will be transported from the Capitol Hill neighborhood to the teeming landscapes of the Caribbean. Live music will begin at 9:30 p.m. with Los Mocochetes, a local Chicano Funk band from Denver.”
